Hi Aseel! Thank you so much for this thread and for trying to build this community! I have never shared my work with anyone else but my friends actually, so it means a lot. I have graduated architecture and urbanism as my bachelor studies and then went for interior design masters right away, but looking at it from this point I should have taken a break, because I ended up getting projects done just for the sake of taking them off of my back, so I haven't learned as much as I could have. I then went into lighting design and spent next 3 years working on over 150 lighting design projects (both public and private spaces) as if I was too afraid to step into actual interior design. I guess I'm afraid of merging into one and the same thing that I see around me and not finding my own voice. I'm also so bummed out by the fact that most studios where I come from (Serbia) are looking for 3d modelers and visual artists, so you basically have to start with rendering other people's finished projects instead of actually working on developing designs. This was my first step into interior decoration (I guess, as I wasn't reorganizing spaces nor taking down any walls?), because a friend of mine was asking for mood board ideas and had given us this empty apartment plan. I was aiming for a simple, modern, reduced bohemian vibe collided with Nordic style, as it somehow made sense in my head, since this place was back in Canada. I wanted to incorporate a lot of natural materials and plants, as well as natural light, as I believe such spaces can give you joy as soon as you open your eyes. I would love your feedback on this one! I have to say that back than when I was about to start working on this project, almost 2 years ago, I randomly stumbled upon your channel and your video about making mood boards in PowerPoint, and it has inspired me immensely! Thank you so much for sharing your work!
